The L.I.I. Experience

Starting college can be exciting and stressful, but it can also be awesome to start a new chapter in your life, make new friends, have new professors, have more adventures and start to acquire the knowledge about the career of your dreams, all of these things make college be a great experience of life. In our own experience, the college has changed us for a better way, we all had to try new things and stepped out of our comfort zone, not counting the friends and relationships we have created.

We ask the students of the second semester of the career Licenciatura en Idioma Inglés about their thoughts on starting college and this was part of their opinions:

Andrea Salas: Today we are going to interview a few students about their experiences in getting into our career. What is your name? 

Adrian, Alexis, and Alejandra

What do you think about the process of getting into the career?

Adrian: It´s good, it´s about my knowledge 

Alexis: It was easy

Alejandra: It was easy because I changed of career

How did you feel at the beginning of the first semester?

Adrian: I felt a lot of nervous but then it was easy to get to the teachers

Alexis: Me too, I was really nervous because I didn't know what would happen in some days

Alejandra: I felt really relaxed because I had 3 subjects 

Was it awkward, stressful or amazing?

Adrian: Glossaries were so stressful from my teachers and it was amazing the knowledge that they had!!

Alexis: It was amazing

Alejandra: For me was very simple because I didn't have a lot of subjects 

Do you have a favorite subject?

Adrian: Of course! Phonetics is my favorite subject, I love learning from it!

Alexis: Me too, Phonetics is my favorite subject

Alejandra: No, I don't have a favorite subject

Andrea Salas: the last one is "What would you recommend in order to improve the quality of the career in every aspect"?

Adrian: My advice is that you all have to be responsible and do your homework

Alexis: I recommend not to do SAC hours compulsively 

Alejandra: Don't do a lot of SAC hours 

Andrea Salas: Okay, that is all, thank you!

To conclude, starting college might be an incredible, marvelous, and stunning experience. Even although it could be a little bit stressful for others. Moreover, to each student college can be different, in the way they learn or acquire new knowledge as well as the teachers and subjects may influence the way they enjoy and join this new experience in college. However, as we can see the students always try to give their best in order to improve, to learn new things, and to be always better.
